Angry rounded head bolt

dammit, on of my head bolts is rounded off. I went to sears to get a bolt out sckets, but they dont sell them in singles, only sets for like 50 bucks The bolt is under the cowl, so that lowers options on how to get it out. Are there any places I can get just a single socket?(i'll even oder it online and wait a few days for delivery)

Re: rounded head bolt

your best bet it cutting the head of the bolt off, there is no way your going to easy out that bolt as they are on VERY tight. I am not sure about what these bolt out sockets are but I doubt they will do the job if the bolt is truly rounded.

Thats as close as I ever wish to go with a head bolt

I dont see those working... the idea is there but i dont see it happening. If you cut the head off then the head will lift right off and then you can screw the stud out which will probably come out with your fingers.

Oh those work. My brother in law just got a set and it immediately got a striped bolt off.
