Rough Idle

My stepson has a 95 Z28, totally stock with 105K on it. He had the opti replaced at the local gas station repair shop his Dad gets all their work done for years. They put a parts dept(rebuilt) opti on it about 3K miles ago and it went again now 6mths later. Same thing not starting and running like crap. They replaced it free this week and now it runs fine down the road but idle's poorly. You have to keep your foot on the gas at stop lights. Any idea's?

how does it run overall? my car used to run like crap and it would die at me at on stoplights. it turned out one of my plug wires were crossfired. so u should double check all the wires are going 2 the right cylinder.

Another vote for checking the plug wires very carefully. I just recently started running straight headers and the plug wires now are shaking themselves off the plugs. When they rattle off it runs like complete crap. I had 3 wiggle off a few weeks ago at the track and I thought it was the opti. Make sure they are all snapped on the plugs and snapped in the opti!
