Question Roller rockers

I have a LT4 Hotcam, with LT4 springs. Will these 1.6rr work(Comp Cams Magnum Self-Aligning Roller-Tip Rocker Arms, 3/8" stud, 1.6 Ratio), and if anyone has them, what's your opinion?

Cool

They will work just fine but you will need to make some adjustments to the valve cover for clearance.

I haven't used those specifically but Comp Cams in general makes excellant stuff.

I've never messed with the valvetrain before. What exactly do I have to do to the valve covers to make them fit?

Remove anything that touches the rocker arms. I took out all the supports and baffles in mine and haven't had any problems. Just be careful when you tighten them down.

Oh, are you using the pro mags? Those are the stainless steel roller rockers that Comp offers. Very good product.

haven't bought them yet. I'm going with 1.6rr, just trying to get some info on these. Are the comp pro mags the best to get?

The common concensus seems to be that the Pro Magnums are the best to get. The magnums are just roller tips, not full rollers like the Pro Magnums.

Seems like most guys run the non self aligning Pro Magnums with GM guideplates

You don't have to take out the supports, just bend them out of the way. I know it can be done easily because I just did it without any problems. Here is a site to go by:

Good luck

Yep, I'm running NSA pro mags with guide plates and hardened pushrods.

Well my opinion is wait and save mroe $$ and get full roller rockers, not roller tip rockers..
Also if you do use the roller tip rockers, they may fit [I am not sure but think so]under the valve cover without cutting it.. I think most thought you meant full RR's...
Crame or GM full RR's fit without cutting..
