Rocker Stud Question

I just received a set of ARP 134-7103 7/16 rocker studs for my Scorpion 1.7RR install. I set one of the Scorpion rockers onto a stud and noticed the rocker sits down on the stud so far, the bottom of the rocker hits the hex bolt of the stud.

Shouldn't the rocker tighten up against the stud before the bottom of the rocker makes contact with the stud?

Do I need different studs, or do I need to clearence the stud or rocker?

Thomas.

**** edit ****

Ok, I just realized my stupid mistake. With the stud and rocker not installed in the head, the rocker will seat all the way down. But once everything is in the head, the pushrod and spring will keep the rocker from dropping down all the way and making contact ...... does this sound right?
