Rocker Adjustment

I just went threw and adjusted half of my rockers. (left side of engine) I did the deal where you tighton and twist pushrods till you feel friction then tighton 1/2 turn more. I was wondering does every rocker have to be as exact as the others. I tried my best to keep them the same but im just wondering do they have to be perfect?

Thanks for your help.

As uniform as you can make it is the best you can do.

another question. It looks like the pushrods are flaring out a little like a V. the left rode is leaning to the left a little and the right one is leaning to the right. This is after they are adjusted. Is this normal?

I don't think I know what you mean. The rocker arms should be centered on the valve stem tips. There is no information here that says what type of rockers you have (SA or NSA).

the rockers are SA. they are seated fine on the valve stem. it looks like the lifters are not centerd exactly under the rockers. So the pushrods dont go strait down. they slant down like a V. for example the pushrods are 3mm further apart by the rockerarms then they are by the lifters

I don't remember how parallel mine were, but they are NSA anyway. If your SA rockers are correctly locating on the valves, and the pushrods are centered on the lifters, and you didn't redrill the studs in new locations, I see no way for variation in that angle. So I think it must be normal. Unless you got offset rockers somehow.

yea that is what i was thinking. I just wanted to make sure every thing is cool before i put the intake manifold on.

I can't see anything by the pic, but if the rockers stay centered on the valve tips, you don't really have an issue. Looks like you have roller tipped rockers not roller rockers.
