Angry Ridiculous asking price?

I was driving 65mph down a road the other day and came upon some tracks ( which was a small hill ). Just after i sped over the tracks, my right T-Top suddenly flew off and smashed by the sidewalk in the street! So i go to the nearest American Chevrolet Dealership, and i asked them how much it would be to replace it. Their asking price for a right T-Top on a mid 90's Camaro ; $900! ( $1300 elsewhere ).

I still have the frame of the T-Top, is it possible to replace the glass through a mobile glass company? Or anyone know where I can get em for cheaper in Central Valley California?

Thx.

94s were expensive, about 2x 95+s (94s have stippled glass, 95+ are just tinted). Should be able to get a 94 for abotu $300 at a yard.

latch it next time :-D

You can buy the components and assemble it yourself; it's a no-brainer. Call Jason Cromer for the best price. Don't ask.....

Get a pair off ebay. sold a pair for 300 USD plus 50 shipping not to long ago, they were like brand new too.

locking when latched isnt going to do anyting, I would say the wet noodle bent enough for it to pop out.
Cause I know mine would never open that easy.
the pass side fell into hte car when the grain truck hit me, still latched (locked), but after that I could put it back in and lach it, AND I have SFC's, so it bent lots.

They're in Miami, and I don't know if they ship, or have them in stock, but you can call and find out. They have them for 200 each there.

I just want to say that not locking them and hitting a bump will cause them to pop out. I never leave mine unlocked anymore.

Hmmmmm........ Making a to do list for when I bring my car out in the spring:

1. Oil Change
2. Put Battery back in
3. Make damn sure the t-tops are locked from now on

I'm with the other guys on the eBay idea. I've seen em for as little as $75 a side on there i believe. Good luck.

My buddy got the glass portion at a glass shop for pretty cheap, then just installed it into the frame. I would call a few glass companies.
