Ride quality
Ride quality
First off let me jsut say I don't expect my TA to ride like a BMW by any means, but I drove my friends 97 Z convertible with all the stock suspension and it was a considerably smoother ride. I understand that 35 series tires and 18"s don;t help but the ride was pretty bad before those.
I also know that subframes, panhard, and control arms should stiffen up the ride reducing flex which also hinders ride quality, BUT STILL I feel like my car has an unusually rough ride, currently I have the SLP take offs springs and shicks (stock off a 2001z) with about 6,000 miles on them. I have never really been happy with the ride quality of this car, but was with the quality of my old 96 camaro RS.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Well I don't honestly know what to tell you, my 95 bone stock rides like a champ, smoothest riding car I've ever had...not that I've had a lot an Iroc Z which would beat the living crap outta anyone in it, but would out handle my ta without breaking a sweat and my mazda 626 rides rougher than my TA...have you checked to see if perhaps the previous owner switched out springs or something?
I swapped out the springs at 45k for the ones I got from SLP as takeoffs. I don't it just seems like you can feel every little bump and imperfection in the road. I'm wondering if KYB adjustable gas shocks or something along those lines would solve my problem.
I feel the same way about mine!
Same SLP take-offs (springs and shocks), Lakewood PH bar and LCR's, MAC subframe connectors.
I had 17" wheels and thought that may have been the cause so I went back to the factory 16's for a comparison - very little improvement.
I'm thinking about going back to the factory LCR's after boxing them to see if that helps.
I remember thinking the ride was fairly decent when I first got the car! Much better than my stock '87 Vette. But now, I think the Vette may be a little better.

Your right, these cars are MUCH too soft, they must have made them for all the grandmas I see riding around in these things, what they are doing in 4th gen Camaros I have no idea, but old people seem to fancy these cars.
Koni doubles and 600# front springs, 140-160# for me, should have come this way stock!
