Re: rev kit??

Rev kits help when you are using a high lift cam that makes power into the upper rpm range (7k rpm or so). Higher lift cams have a faster ramp rate which can cause valve float(especially in the upper RPM range where they make all their power). Normally you would use heavier duty valve springs with higher seat peressure to combat this problem, but past a certain point this puts too much strain on the lifter. A rev kit essentially uses an additional spring to put more pressure on the lifter in term keeping it more firmly planted on the cam lobe. The Beauty of it is that the additional spring pressure is applied to the body of the lifter and not the plunger like when you use stiffer valve springs. The spring goes in between the cylinder head and the lifter itself.

Hope my explanation helped.
