resizing pm rods ???

i have been told that the pm rods cannot be resized....is this true? the reason i ask is cuz i just bought some arp rod bolts for these rods, and am wandering if you just install them and go or if indeed these rods can be resized ? i dont understand why they cant be but have been told this several times. thanks for any help

the PM rod is called a FRACTURE rod and there is no known way to resize this rod!
i would sell the rod bolts and get a set of eagle or scat rods..

Old style PM rods were cracked cap and could not be machined. But LT1 PM rods have machined mating surfaces, so they can be resized.

Both kinds can be machined. The fractured cap rods are just honed oversize, then a special oversize bearing is used.

Just buy a set of scat I beam 4340 rods for $220, or have the machine shop sell you a set of factory forged rods for cheap. I just threw out 10+ sets of them because we always used aftermarket rods, and had way too many laying around.
