Cool Replacing plug wires

I am looking to replace the original plug wires on my 95 Z28. Can someone advise on a good replacement brand and what style? I was looking at MSD. I have upgraded the original coil with a MSD. Was also looking at MSD new cap and rotor, any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Replacing plug wires

I love my MSD Superconductors, easy install, look awesome and worked great with my headers. I think the lowest price on them is summit. Cant go wrong with those, they are great. Opti wise I went with a full GM replacement from Dal at VanDevere. Lowest price on optisparks in the country.

Re: Replacing plug wires

do a search on routing your wires over the valve covers. Makes them look alot nicer, and also alot easier to change later. THis is really good if you have headers.

Re: Replacing plug wires

Replace the whole optispark, don't just replace the "cap and rotor"

Re: Replacing plug wires

I had bad luck with my MSD wires; the boots were very soft and wouldn't stand up to mild abuse. Also the 8.5mm diameter will not fit in the stock routing postion. I'm presently running Accel 9000 8 mm wires. Nicely built, robust and will fit in the stock routing. They also stand up great to the heat.

Re: Replacing plug wires

Another vote for Accel 9000s. I've put them on two LT1 Camaros, no problems.
I would not buy a cap and rotor, just spend the extra on a new opti if you need one.
