Replacement Radiator Question
Replacement Radiator Question
Hello,
My radiator cracked at the tank and I bought a replacement radiator. I got it off of genesisautoparts.com There were two available, 1 and 2 row. I figure why not pay a bit more and get a more efficient radiator. I got via FedEx and took it out and noticed 2 AN fittings on it that are not on my old radiator, the rest match perfectly.
Here is a picture of what I'm talking:
Old radiator:
New radiator:
I filled up the new radiator with water and it wasn't leaking from the 2 extra fittings, it seems the 2 row in the radiator is separated. So I'm pretty sure those are for extra component cooling, like power steering or engine oil.
My question is, if I can't return this one for a regular 1 row radiator, can I just keep this one and do I need to weld/plug those fittings securely?

Replacement radiators often have the transmission cooler so that they don't have to go to the expense of supplying a separate model. One radiator fits all. The fittings are ignored on a manual transmission car.
