replaced head gaskets now no start

1994 z28 lt1 replaced head gaskets and all the other top end gaskets and any parts and pieces that i broke.now the car wont start.it ran with the bad head gaskets and blew smoke and now i fixed that and it will not fire.it ran for about 4 seconds and then died.it does turn over but will not fire.the fuel pump turns on when you turn the key and i can get a wiff of gas when trying to start it.is there anything that im supposed to do to get it ready before it will fire from fixing the top end.thanks

You need to double-check all connections, such as at the Opti, plug
wires, wiring to the PCM, to the injectors, and so on. You need to also
check all mechanical connections, such as the intake elbow and so on.

(For example: I've had the bottom run of the intake elbow buckle while
sliding it back on - didnt realize it - when I cranked it up, it ran like
cr@p, so double-checked everything I removed, when I noticed the
buckled rubber seal, which meant a large leak).

Possibly ruined the opti from getting coolant on it?
