Removing engine from top... Do I need to remove headers?

Pulling my motor from the top tomorrow. I have Pacesetter longtube headers and was wondering if it is possible to just unbolt the headers and move them to the side a few inches, or do I need to fully remove the headers to pull the motor from the top?

I unbolted mine and set them back till I started raising the engine out , then when I had enough room I pulled them out the way .

We pulled mine out with STOCK manifolds attached, but thats not where near longtubes. I think iv heard other people (outside of this thread) say to just lay them off to the side.

Manifolds no. Headers yes.

i just did it and left the headers in, worked completely fine..

i was able to remove the motor by just using zip ties to hold the headers as close as they could get to the wheel wells with out a problem
