Removing air/egr/cat

I have a 94 formula, I will be installing some Mac midlength headers (94/95) with no emissions soon. I was wondering what will happen if I remove all the egr/air stuff... will it throw codes or not? and will my gas mileage suffer? also I was told that sometimes the rear cat will throw a code, othertimes it wont, if its removed?

thanks

My air never worked. When I did my heads/cam I removed the air and it didn't make a difference.

I got 26.6 MPG going to Pennsylvania.

It's simple to remove, but it's a PITA to get the tube that runs under the timing cover off. I had to cut mine.

EGR might affect gas mileage, I'm not sure.

I would leave that lone if it's working fine.

Yes, removing either of those will throw codes. You will need to tune the computer to disable them.

Removing EGR will throw a code but not AIR on a 94.

That tube is a bitch to get off going to the pass. side. The way I eventually got it off is by rebuilding and having full access to my engine.
