Will it hurt anything to remove the ERG and block it off.

I'm going to a cam that won't need the egr but I was wanting to do this and the AIR when I put my hedders in. but before I get the cam, so can I do this without it messing up the PCM or driveablity problems. I will drive it 1-2 months before the cam install.

 

Removing the EGR isn't going to hurt anything, I don't think you even get an SES code for removing it on OBDI (94/95) I know you do for OBDII though (96/97)

 

You'll probably get an SES light until you get that stuff programmed out of the PCM...

EGR removal has no affect on WOT performance but it will affect part-throttle cruising...

 

I have had my egr blocked off for like 2 years now, No problems.
It's a 95

 

Must be because you are OBDI and I am OBDII... I forget about that sometimes...

 

I've got tuner cats so I can turn it off in the pcm, What kind of part throttle problems does it cause??
