Recommendation for long tube headers

I am running SLP shortie headers on my ProCharged LT4 383 Stroker and I'm thinking of switching to long tube headers. Right now I don't really have any problems with the SLPs I just think I can get a little more with the long tubes. I DO NOT want to loose access to my plugs. Right now with my setup (BMR tubular k-member, SLP headers and no cats) I can change my spark plugs in literally 10 minutes. All except 1 and 3 from the bottom (ATI won't allow access from bottom). If longtubes are going to make it more difficult from the bottom then the hell with it. I am using a Borla cat-back and stock y-pipe with cats removed. I assume I will need a custom y-pipe. Any help would be appreciated.

Im going to put my vote in for FLP's. Everything comes ceramic coated (except the cats), plus you get interchangleble cats/offroad pipes, and all the hardware is included. Everything you need from the heads to the cat-back. I changed my plugs during the install, but the access seems OK...well, for long tubes that is. Only downfall is the price...I paid $1250 from thunderracing.com

With Jet-Hots I can get every plug from the top without problems.

I like the FLP set-up. Did the unthinkable this weekend. Replaced the OPRs with cats and put a solid plate on the Borla.

Wifey wouldn't go to a super bowl party with me cause the exhaust stinks and it was too loud. I wasn't gonna go in either the Civic or Silverado.

Another vote for Jet-hot LTs. I got mine for something like $530 shipped and I live in Canada. Plug access is great but I haven't changed my plugs since I put them in tho. Awesome car man What kind of rwhp does that thing put out? Any track times with the D1?

I would go with the jet-hot lt's. I have read on here there is no problem when added to the k-member. But their ARE alot of people that don't like the sound when added to the Borla cat-back.

Thanks for the comments on the car. I just put the ATI-D1SC in and the track opens the 27th of this month. I am having a few tuning issues right now. Mainly eatting O2 sensors and I am planning on driving to Bryan Herter's maybe this weekend and get on the dyno shortly after that (still trying to recover from the $4100 Procharger). The car was running 11.6s with the 100 shot but I had a conserative cam. It feels much nastier now. Hoping to do mid 10s with 12lbs of boost. When I go over 12lbs i need more then 50# injectors and hopefully I will see high 9s with 20lbs and a 50 shot. Since I have already dumped over $25,000 into this damn money pit I could probably save up for FLPs if they are better then the Jet-Hots. I rather be broke then be pissed off every weekend fixing something.

Are the FLP's worth double the price for no HP difference (no facts just opinion) + like an extra 1/4" of ground clearance? I wish I had some of your money

Parts for parts, show me how the Jet-Hots are double the price of FLPs?

I wish I had some of my money too. ThunderRacing, Nu-Tek Motorsports, Combination Motorsports and L&M Machine shop have it all. This project started with a 30th Anniversary Z-28 with an LT1 with 50k miles on it. I figured I wanted to keep this car as my daily driver and didn't feel like buying a new car. So I decided to rebuild the motor and I had a little extra cash so I wanted "a little bit more". So, I end up with what you see in my profile and I had to buy another car to drive because I'm always working on the damn thing. I keep asking if it was worth and I keep answering, hell no. Maybe my times at the track will make me feel better.

For what you get FLPs arent horrible in price. You will end up either using No cats, or cats full time, so one of the setups will be sitting likely. Also plug access SUCKS.
