Question rear end gear switch

I was thinking about switching my stock 2.73 gears out for something a little more aggresive but not quite sure on what ratio I should go for. I was thinking about a 3.73 gear. Would that be a bad choice for my daily driver Trans Am or not and what how much does a decent set cost?

If you have an automatic tranny go for the 3.73's, and if you have a manual tranny 4.10's. Price range is around 165-200 something bucks, I'm not sure. As for daily driveabilty, you might have to make more frequent trips to the gas station and in some cases get used to the gear whine. Try and save some bucks for an aluminum driveshaft, it's money well invested if you're doing a gear swap. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I do have an automatic so I will definatley go for the 3.73's. I didn't even think about a new driveshaft though I will probably get one now. Gear whine I'm not too worried about, I probably won't be able to hear it over my exhaust anyways! Thanks a bunch
