Rear distributor in F-Body

Rear distributor in F-Body

Anyone do it sucessfully? Pics? I figure there would be cutting involved

BTW you still have to run an Opti just like the other systems do

thanks, I was going to scrap the opti and get a LT1 Intake Aluminum Manifold, with a carb, rear dist... etc. My car breaks up bad and I have been screwing around for months without getting anywhere. I have finnaly gave up.

What makes you think it is a spark related problem?

Actually, all the F-bodies produced from 1967 thru 1992 had "rear distributors". I guess you are referring to the 4th gen.

With the intake modified, you can get it in there without cutting anything. Most people are running the crab style caps to gain a little clearance.

Swapping to a carb will give you problems passing emsissions, so be aware.
