Re: ratchet shifter?

I manage a parts store and we deal with B&M and Hurst...I've called both and neither has one thats a direct replacement. They have some that'll work but they require some modifications.

A rachet shifter is... an automatic with a manual valve body? What's the difference between rachet and normal?

Re: ratchet shifter?

Are you talking like a b+m starshifter or hammer shifter? these are shifter related actions not the trans. What we are looking for is the spring loaded ratchet action like the old school dual gates? Hit it and it upshifts! I WANT one myself but don't have the ***** to hack up my console to try and make one fit! I would guess the linkage would work its the fit that would raise hell?
