ram air question

It is about time to replace my stock elbow and I have not installed a CAI kit on my car yet because I plan on buying a ram-air warbird hood and making it functional. So my question is, if I install the ram air setup now with the stock hood in place is it going to hurt my performance? Will it even clear to close the hood?

well that sux, I guess I will have to buy the elbow and then sell it in 6 months when I can afford the hood, ram-air kit and paint

it is torn up pretty bad, it is the orginal and so it is dry and cracking in a few spots too, one of the tears has split and was letting air in, I have black tape covering it now and it is not very noticeable but I am not going to run it like that for long

drop the $40 and get a 1LE...much more durable than the stocker...unless you want your bay to look 'pretty,' then get a vortech elbow...

A lot of dealerships sell it for that...try Jason or Dal....I got mine for $40 shipped brand new...

You can also find one in the For Sale section for that price if not cheaper...

Wish I had known about the aluminum units...........I just dropped $100 bucks for a factory replacement. Mine was all torn up as well.

Glad I found this forum......I'll never make a mistake like that again. I looked all over the internet for an aftermarket replacement.

(I eliminated CAGS - 3 days after finding this site...for $0....this place is great!)
