Radiator question

I had my radiator in my garage when some people came to work on the sheetrock after the hurricane here in houston. I previously had it cleaned/refurbished by a radiator shop for my build. After getting back to the project I noticed there is a gash/dent that was not there before in the radiator now. I tried my best when clearing out all of the stuff in my garage, and thought the radiator was in a safe place against the wall, only to find damage to it. I suspect one of the workers hit it and didn't realize it.

I got pissed, but of course its partially my fault for where I left it. I am either going to get it repaired or get a new one.
I got to thinking about my options and my build. Is the stock radiator going to be sufficient with 11.8-12.1 CR range in the south?
A/C is a must here, and want to know my options for aftermarket. I remember somebody having clearance issues with a EWP and aftermarket radiatior.

I am just looking for opinions I guess.

My 383 is 11.8:1 and my car never gets above 175* with the stock radiator.

I'm in Fl, so it is hot here year round.

Griffin and Be Cool are the two most commonly purchased aluminum rads. Check Summit or Jegs. Or stop by Clear Lake Speed in Sea Brook on 146. However I think a stock rad. should work.

WHY are you going this high on compression for a steet car??? If your running pump gas I would think your just forcing the engine into "knock retard" and losing power.

Of the 2 types of aftermarket radiators, are they plug in types, or do they need work to get to fit. I am leaning toward stock, and want to see if the radiator shop around me can do anything to improve it.

I arrived at my compression with the le3 H/C combo along with 0 decking my block and using recommended pistons from Lloyd. I comfirmed with him that I would be running 93 and he assured me it would be ok, as long I used the 1074 head gasket.

I will be keeping my eye on the retard along with other parameters once this gets up and running. The car will be a weekend car only. Street/strip. I have heard of a few on here running this type compression on street. I am guessing this is getting close to the limit.

OK! Like I said, check Summit. Both should have direct fit rads.
