Quick Question -> MAC Headers

What is the "test pipe"? I won MAC headers on ebay and the guy I won them from offered to sell me the test pipe for $30, he said it retails for $90-something. What is it and what does it do, and is it worth anything?

The test pipe is just a straight piece of pipe that goes in place of your catalytic converter.

D'oh. I looked it up on the MAC Catalog and it appeared to be a straight pipe to bypass the cat, so I passed on it.
