Quick dash question
I just got my new dash yesterday to replace my cracked one, and I was wandering if anyone knew the best/easiest way to replace it. If you could give me some kind of guide or point the way that would be great!! It probably isn't that hard but i don't want to risk breaking anything (like the new one!) because i did it incorrectly. Thanks in advance guys!

HI RYRAN
I wanted to ask you question about your ss cragars
when I asked about cragrs for my t/a they said it wouldn't work
because of the back spacing?
i'm sure we have the same back spacing, how did you get yours to fit?

Just swapped out dashes last weekend. PAIN IN THE ***!!!!
The very best thing is tho pull the steering wheel. If you can it's OK, just be a bit more carful, also behind the dash cluster is a mad group of wires that must go OVER a clip (you'll see what I mean) don't beake it, And you'll find one nasty zip tie--cut it.
Don't worry, my friend were pounding 40oz Coronas and we did it, and I've never done it

Hey, i didn't have to do anything to make them fit. Who did you call or talk to? Mine are the 17x9.5's. I do recall measuring the backspacing to be safe, but there wasn't a problem, they fit perfectly. Just measure the backspacing and let whoever know. Sorry i can't remember the exact specifications.
You will have to remove the A-pillers and top dash (just pops out) All the 7mm (i believe) bolts, 2 screws and a handful of plastic push bolts. I'f you have an auto , pull the lever all the way to 1st gear and make damn sure you don't bend the key like I did. Remove the radio, HVAC, and the BCM. Seperate both halves of the glove box as well. The biggest bitch will be getting the dash over the top of the steering wheel. Since yours is allready broke, try and get it out without damaging it so you can see what your going to need to do to put the new one in. The biggest thing to remember is the plastic zip tie behind and to the left of the radio.
