question about header install?

i just recieved my pacesetter long tubes and i was reading the install directions. it said that i need the remove the coolant sensor and drain all the coolant.

how true is this?

i have read countless articles on here and i have read about 5 different lt1 long tube installs and this is the first i have heard of this.

i don't feel like drainning the coolant. i have no problem doing it if it's the only way the long tubes go in, but from what i have read. no one else has drained the coolant.

I'd unplug the sensor, but no need to remove it or drain it

thanks.

i thought so, but i wanted to make sure.

that was the first time i ever read something like that.

better off reading instructions of people that actually installed them, rather than the one's they write lol.

The reason behind that is just in case you dont break the sensor while installing the headers.
