OK, car has been running great. Today it started raining really hard, and my car began to idle rough, and surge from about 1-3k rpm then it would kick in. I read this is because the opti is wet. The car runs fine now, but is this going to happen every time it rains?...how can i prevent this

Yes it is caused by the opti. The problem will continue, but I would say in severe rain conditions. Where the water is deep enough to splash up onto the opti. I think if you convert to the VENTED opti, instead of the non vented, you'll have less of a problem. I'm assuming that you have a 94 Firehawk, from your ID. Good luck, Optispark is a good ignition if it wouldn't give anyone problems.
