Trying to pull this plug I used a screwdrive and it cracked the opti itself.

The opti only has like 20K miles on it.

A crack there could let moisture into the opti. The pic is kinda blurry, it could not be bad at all. How bad does the crack look?

Potential problem, yes.

What if i put some like bulb grease right there..to like repel moisture and water?

Not going to last. With all the dirt and grime, you are going to need to take it off and try to repair it with some epoxy or something of that nature.

i was thinking some RTV

Jb Weld

Use rtv. It will provide the best seal against weathering and provide a decent hold for the crack. Or to be safe and give the best finish use JB Weld to repair the foundation and then rtv for sealing any potential leaks. It looks salvageable to me so I would atleast give it a shot. The unit should not be under to much stress right there so the steps I mentioned should last.

I would use Permatex 'right stuff' and I doubt it would be a problem.

If Billy Mays were on the board he would say "throw some mighty putty" on it.
