Power Window Motor?

I am going to be getting 2 new window motors this week. I was wanting to know if anyone here has ever got a quote from a dealer on a price for the install? If it is to much, I am just going to do it myself.

Thanks

I don't remember exactly how much the dealer quoted me, but I know it was some ungodly amount. I would do it myself, if you can. It's not an easy task though. Have fun.

$300 a piece was the quote I got from my local Chevy dealer. So I did it myself and saved $250

Yep, ShoeBox's directions are first rate. I had both motors replaced a little over a year ago... I was quoted $250. The yahoos that did it took all day and scratched my window tint too!!

Using the link above I changed out the drivr side window in just an hour. The cost was $47 for a motor from AutoZone and $3 for a 1/2" drill bit

You can get the motor from autozone for 47 bucks. I called GM dealer Friday and they wanted 140 a piece for motors.

I just wanted to say that shoebox's guide is excellent. I changed both motors this afternoon in 2 hours. Got Siemans Motors from autozoo for 53 dollars and they have a lifetime warrenty.
