Is It possible???

Is it possible to cut/grind the welds on sfc's to get them off. Mine were put on by a local exhaust shop last summer and I'm not to happy with the job they did. I would also like to switch to a pair of BMR Tubular so I can autox against other f-Bods instead of corvettes.

Has anyone ever done this?

Don't see why not. You would use a grinder/cutting wheel or cutting torch at the welds to remove most anything that was welded on. Once you get them off, you can dress up the welded areas with a grinder.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll use the grinder.

Yeah I haven't been to a autocross yet but I didn't want to start out racing supercars and get Once I get them cut off and some BMR's or possibly Sphon (sp? , does he even make sfc's) then I'll go try a parking lot race. I just read the rules and saw what I'd be up against and thought it better to wait
