Have yet to install, but I picked up a set of Prothane poly mounts from Summit for 40.00.

I have a prothane on the pass side and an ES on the drivers side. The material looked and felt exactly the same. So I dont see any difference other than what you can get ahold of the easiest and cheapest is your best bet.

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

So vibrations just are a little bit worse when changing to poly motor mounts? Does it effect anything if you have a big motor with a large cam? Also whats this about auto's vibrating really bad when putting poly tranny mount in? It wont do it with a M6 will it?

Are these any good?

Poly trans mount will do it with either tranny.

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

So basically just get a New Stock tranny mount and run that? What about the motor mounts?

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

A lot of people run the 1LE tranny mount. A little beefier then the stock LT1 replacement, less vibration then a poly mount.

For your motormounts, I recommend the prothane mounts from thunderracing. I've had mine for about 8 mo. now. No complaints.

That Summit part# in your link is the part for 1st and 2nd gens. LT1 part # is PTP-&-508-BL for the motor mounts.
GM does not make the 1LE tranny mount anymore, the best bet for a better than stock replacement without getting the poly mounts to to use the stock LS1 tranny mount, it is harder rubber than the stock LT1.

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

Well I just ordered the Motor mounts, tranny mounts, front control arm bushings, torq arm bushings as well from Thunder racing.

Was this a bad Idea with the Poly tranny mounts?

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

I've run my prothane motor mounts for over 2 years, no problems. I also have a ES tranny mount.

Re: Which poly motor mount recommendation?

i went through 3 stock tranny mounts in a little over a month and decided to switch to a poly along with poly motor mounts. I noticed a little more vibration but with the dumps and big cam the whole car vibrates anyway..
