Poly Lock tips

Alright, my rockers are driving me insane. I have the comp pro magmum NSA 1.6 rockers and ive set the lash about 3 times now. Every time they stupid rockers find a way to back the hell out on me. 1st time i had 3 back out completely and then just one. It does this after about 50-200 miles driving.

Could it be that i am not setting the lash right? I am thinking about putting the stock rocker nuts on to keep the bastards in place. I assume threadlock would be a BAD idea.

You guys got any tips that can keep my rockers from comming off? Or should i just get a 12" allen wrench and torque the CRAP outta the poly locks?

Thanks,
Stu

Re: Poly Lock tips

To get mine to stay so far(only been a few hundred miles, but some drag strip raping as well) I bought a allen key set on a handle... folded the handle out and used it kinda like a T-handle... went as tight as I was comfortable without breaking the tool.... so far soo good. If you get them tight enough you can kinda feel them sorta lock into place...

Buy a ratchet and socket with a allen extension for the poly locks, I tightened the **** out of mine with the ratchet after trying 3 times by hand with an allen wrench and they no longer come loose.

Re: Poly Lock tips

Most people turn both the 'lock' AND the 'adjustment nut' a little tighter.. [turn both TOGETHER]
This method seems to work well..
