Plugs/wires...solid ?

Getting ready to replace plugs and wires for the first time on my 94 z. It shows about 74000 on the clock ,I guess I got the good out of those originals ehh...LoL. im only changing now because i suspect arcing...hope its not coil breakdown or whatever...it cuts out at times. mostly in damp or humid weather.

anyway...are solid wire better than the graphite or whatever crap ? i know they used to be better ...long ago.
I have no headers or anything....just as soon replace with factory style.

what brand do you suggest ? what mm ?

will they fit in original looms ?

thought about getting accel or moroso pre-cut to fit...less hassle.

should i stay with the delco plugs too ?

my car is pretty much stock...just an mid-aged man here that doesnt want to get into a bunch of stuff.

thanks guys,

~Dave

LoL...8 hrs ?

Ive heard it was a real pain.

My son is a tech at a *cough *cough...."F'n-ord" {not in my vocab}. one of his co-workers said they'd change it all out for me for a hundred bucks....less parts. Thought that was a good deal and may as well go with it. cause I'm sure I'm not gonna mess w/it myself. my tweakin' days went out when they did away with "points and condensers" LoL !!

taylor spiro pro's...$50

remove the alt and the passenger motor mount bolt

you can do the front 3 driver side from the top, rear 4th plug from under.

passenger side, remove motor mount bolt and jack motor up 2". then you can get ALL 4 plugs form the top.

the taylors will fit in stock looms, revove the front idler pulley to get all the wires in the right place.

alone, first time, taking it easy and not getting frustrated...4 hours

Computer controlled cars don't use solid wire plug wires due to RFI interference. Modern "wires" are a composite that reduces that tendency.

In your case, I would stick with a stock type size that will give you the least trouble with install and should work fine.
