please help w/ timing chain! which for electric wp

hi,
i am installing a csi electric waterpump and new timing chain.
now that i have a electric water pump its not cam driven, does that bear anything on the size or style of timing set? i heard now i can use a cloyes double roller set up or one similar. is this correct?

can some one help me choose a timing set or let me know which one there using with a electric wp

thanks,
josh

Go with the Cloyes. It will work with the CSI just fine plus it's not too expensive.

Don't you also need a vented opti, and a cam with the nose drilling to do that on a 94?

Yes, because the Cloyes cam gear does not have the drive splines to run the non-vented opti.

Ooops, I didn't pay attention that he had a 94.... Yes, there is not much choice on a 94 as far as the timing chain goes, without a vented opti conversion.
Best thing you could do without converting is getting a new stock chain and new cam/crank sprockets.

Lunati also makes a replacement chain that would work on your car (summit carries it) but nobody here tried it yet...

I'd save that for when you do a cam install.
You will need a cam with a longer dowel pin to drive the opti, you will need a vented opti, vented opti harness, vented opti vacuum harness, 95 timing cover and of course, the chain and sprockets.
