Please help identifying A.I.R. hose needed

I recently purchased a 1995 Z28 and didn't realize until later the A.I.R. system was "patched" with an improper hose - which of course cracked. I'm trying to replace this with the correct hose, but I have no idea what I need.

Can someone please help?

you will have to go to the dealer to get that hose its a pre formed hose. its basicly just a 90 degree bend and some plastic hose clamps. from the looks of it your heater hose was patched also.

Great!

So now I can have more issues to go with the oil leak! I plan on taking the car to a mechanic for the oil leak, so maybe I'll have him check all the other hoses, etc. since the previous owner (or dealer) liked to patch the problems.

Thanks for the response.

BTW - may be a dumb question, but since it was running with a cracked hose anyway . . . do you think I'd be fine driving it to the shop, or should I get the hose and install it first? Any real risks?

GM part 12550222 if you can still find it available.

Couldn't you just buy bulk "cut to length" hose from the local auto store and use that?

Well, that's what I ended up doing . . . at least temporarily. The OEM part is apparently discontinued and there's only one GM dealer (supposedly in all of USA) who has the hose in GA. I want to find the proper hose eventually though because the tight bend of the generic hose from the store causes it to almost close off. As when I got the car and the hose in place was pinched at the bend and had cracked. I tried to stretch this one a little bit and got a pretty good curve out of it though, so hopefully it holds in for a while.

You might need to visit a salvage yard.
