I recently did a H/C install. Well recently while sitting at some lights, and starting accelerate it starts back firing, just a few times. So I pulled the plugs TR6's and they are tan no black on them at all which leads me to believe it running lean. The popping doesn't accure all the time either.

Any ideas?

 

Are those the right plugs?

 

Yes they are the right plugs gapped @ .035. They are for running Nitrous

 

Tan is a "healthy" color for spark plugs, white plugs is a sign of running lean. Have you had the car dyno tuned since it's been modified?

 

No dyno tuning yet, The tan color is very light, which made me worry. It's not a very dark tan color.

 

Ok, drove the car this morning,the sound in the upper rpms sounds like a crackling sound. any ideas as to why its making that sound

 

Any one got any suggestions? It's still poping ( back firing ). I did notice that if I drive in OD and take of slow it does it but if I put in 1st and manually shift it doesn't do it. Plus yesterday I was at a light with and ls1 ss next to me and we both jump on our cars from green and mine start crackling really bad. Anyone have any ideas.
