Hard to say. Are you sure it's even the muffler? It could be a hole in the muffler or just some part of your car catching the air just right to make it whistle. Whatever the case it doesn't sound serious.

i think its the design of the muffler.. at lower rpms it has a nice growly sound.. and at higher rpms its designed to flow, thus the whistle

i remember a flowmaster sounded like that

I had a Dynomax systen on my car for years and it always did that. I thought it was one of the coolest things and alot of other people loved it as well. There was nothing wrong with the muffler, heck when it rusted at one of the connections I put another one on and it did the exact same thing. I kinda miss that sound.

I've got a 3 chamber flow on mine with no cats and it whistles at about 2,300 to 2,500rpm. It's a new muffler too. I use to have chrome Z28 tips on it when the cats where still on and in whistled really bad. I dunno, but some times the whistling sounds kinda cool.

Mine whistles too. At WOT it starts at about 4,000rpm. Nice and throaty sound down low. I love this muffler but i don't know which kind it is. When it rusts out I hope I can find the same one.
