Performance chips

Are they worth it? Where do they get installed?

Chips can only be used in 93 LT1s I believe.

It would be worth it if you had something that would neesicate the need for one, also if you have a 94 you wont be able to put a chip in, rather you'll have to send the computer to get reprogrammed.

Jet offers a sort of plug-in "chip" for 94+...for the price I wouldn't advise it....they require you to always run 93 octane...it's cool if you don't want to do many mods on your car....but if you plan on doing a lot of mods I wouldn't advise getting one...

From what I hear you should just goto www.pcmforless.com and get your pcm reprogrammed.

I would like to do pcmforless. I have the cables that andrew sent me. When they send me the software is it pretty much user friendly, or do I need a degree in rocket science to do it?
