PCV Valve in a 97

Quick question... Got a 97 and changed the PCV valve this weekend and it seems to be really loose in the engine. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be some type of rubber grommet or sleve it should sit in? It just slides in and out with only the rubber hose holding it in place? seems like it could fall out.

There should be a rubber grommet in the intake manifold that holds PCV valve. The PCV valve and grommet are in the top and center of this photo.

although my crappy little stocker looks nothing like yours The rubber must be melted around the hole leaving to much of a gap. the connection hose actually pulled it out about a 1/4 inch and the valve is not exactly flush with the engine.

If you replaced it with anything but a genuine AC-Delco, it may be loose. Other brands have reported to not fit as tightly.
