PCV Valve

I going to replace my pcv valve and I was wondering if there is a certain brand I should go with? I know most people will say AC Delco. But is there anything wrong with just getting say a Purolator, Fram, or Borg Warner from Adavnced Auto? Is there a way of telling if the valve is bad, or is it just one of those things you replace after time?

Re: PCV Valve

I changed mine a few months back. Used the Fram from local parts store. No problems thus far.

Re: PCV Valve

I got Purolator, but it's tiny bit smaller in diameter and sits in it's place not that tight as Delco. No significant vacuum leak, but my advice - go with Delco.

The smaller diameter is a common issue with replacement PCV valves. Go with the AC-Delco.

Re: PCV Valve

Some FFT. Are the players in this thread aware the PCV valve is not merely an open or closed valve? That the most vacuum does not generate the largest opening in the valve? Thot I'd mention it.
