FWIW I dont have results yet, But I just ordered the OBDI conversion from Madz28.
Great communications with him, and talks so I can understand without much techno-babble lol

I heard both these guys are good at what they do. It all depends on what you want from each.

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

I like the pcmforless tune. My car for the spray is great on air/fuel better milage and he did give me the timing I wanted for spray And I still pick up a few 2 tenth on motor. He also did a 95 with gtp stage 2 heads and 306 cam in a freinds car and after a year he went to 2 tuners and they could only give 2 more horse with a dyno than the pcm mail order. He has been very fast with his service and was a tech for working on these cars before deciding to tune them. When I put my 847 in I will have him do the tune.

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

Both are very competent tuners. I've personally seen Pcmforless work on a dyno, and he's consistently gotten outstanding results.

Great results with pcmforless here.. But I've heard nothing but good stuff about Mad too. I think we've got it pretty good to have these two guys, either would get the job done.

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

As a matter of fact...I just threw in the PCM I got from Madz28 today.

Throttle response and idle has improved BIGTIME. Drives so much better now, and the SOTP, it is faster. It drives just like when you drive your car on a cold crisp morning.

I have the Hotcam, 1.6RR, slightly ported heads, edlebrock headers, borla, moroso...ect.
Now I am packing my old PCM up so I can get the core charge back

Car drives great now

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

You really can't go wrong either way, maybe the tie breaker is madz28 is near Chicago might just save the hassle of shipping a pcm. I have pcmforless tuning did just a dyno run and the AFR was dead on so I don't think I could gain much from dyno tuning, probably helps that I am running a cam Bryan himself ran a few years ago. Had some dealings with Ion at Madz28 also and he was a pleasure to deal with as well.

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

I went with madz28 for my 383 set up and have been very happy with it. He is also a board sponser, so my vote is for Ion.

for Ion(madz28). Also, if I'm not mistaken, Ion is about $20 cheaper for the tune aswell......

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

Mad Z is the way to go I got his tune and am nothing but happy. When I was looking I went with him as he was closer cheaper and how can you not support someone who supports the site which allows you a forum to ask this question???

Re: PCM4LESS or MADZ28

You will be happy with either choice. Bryan has been around for a bit longer I believe but Ion knows his stuff. So I think what it really comes down to is who really helps support this place... Madz28.com.
