Any header it's in the way.

Take it off and cut the hump out of it and have it rewelded. That's the only way to get it completely clear.

I didn't have any issues with the AC lines being in the way. I did have some trouble with the EGR line not clearing the tranny dipstick tube. I had to heat up the EGR fitting on the headers and bend it an inch towards the firewall to the the line to clear.

My AC line is close but it fits. I also had a problem with the EGR fitting being lined up where the auto trans dipstick tube is. I disconnected the dipstick tube from the back of the engine since I had already installed the headers when I found out. No problems so far.

I wonder why a company would make a longtube for a specific vehicle and have it not be able to bolt in without issues such as the AC line being in the way....Most everyone installing any header has to cut their AC line on these cars????...especially a 93 specific LT1 since thats what I would be putting them on....

Not to steal your thread, but I am almost finished with this install myself and I have an exhaust leak from the driver's side header flange. I just can't get enough torque on the some of the bolts on that side. How did you guys do it? Other than that the install has gone fairly smooth. I put both of mine in from the bottom by the way.

Double wrench it--- Lock two wrenches together-- put the box end on the bolt and take a 1/2" and lock the box end over the open end.
Play around with it ya will figure it out.

Re: Pacesetters LT's...Issues....

I just pryed on my AC line (System was EMPTY at the time) until it was far enough away that even when the motor torqued, it didnt touch it. I vaguely remember grabbing on to the lines and pulling them UP and towards the ouside of the car as well. I think I had to pull really ****ing hard too to get them to bend.

I pretty much did this because I didnt care if I ****ed the liens up. I havent had any intentions of charging the AC, and didnt really care if I screwed it up cause I would be removing it in the long run again anyways for the HC install

interesting thread, i just installed my pacesetters a month or so ago and i didnt even notice an AC line being in my way. however, now that im driving the car again it seems that the AC drains onto my header and steams... something im going to need to resolve.
