Those of you that have used the pacesetter mid tube headers, what were your likes and dislikes, how were the plug access and what size cat converter did you use ?
These are going on a bolt-on only 95 z that will never see the track.

 

All I want to say is: stay away from these.

 

If you want midlengths go with AS&M, RK Sport, SLP, or MAC's if your tight on cash. That is it. If you want to do fast someday go with longtubes.

Hooker/Pacestter, BBK, Edelbrock, etc mid's are crap.

I remember when lots of people used to run MAC's, but the other 3 are going to be better IMO.

The deal is, I want to get rid of them as quickly as is humanly possible.

 

Real cheap with good plug access. If you need emission equipment operational they are fine. Obiviously long tubes are the best. Quality seems good for the price. I used a regular cat off Ebay.

 

Plug access is pretty good with pacesetter mids, i can get all plugs except 6 & 8 from the top, and i could get those from the top as well but its easier from the bottom. I think theyre decent for the price. I bought mine on e-bay from the seller exhaust it . Cheaper than summit, jegs, and shipped directly from pacesetter.

AS&M are real good just a pain in the a$$ to put in .if you need mids there the way to go .but the macs you can get to plugs easier .

 

Two say they're bad .. two say they're fine. The bads haven't explained why they don't like them. I have an armour coat set still in the box; that's why I'm interested with z275plus.

 

I got the Edelbrock Mids when they first came out in 95. Plug access sucks and it will take hours to change them even with the special plug socket and a gear drive. When changing the plugs on these, it is easier to just drop the headers and the Y-pipe. I needed the CARB logo where I live so these were the best. I'm not sure if the others carry the CARB logo. Might want to check that just in case they require it where you live.

 

I like my Edelbrock mids .... considering they are MIDS ... sound MEAN ---
