pacesetter lt's and ORY scraping

has anyone with this set-up had to deal with scraping/bottoming out?

i just installed them on my 95 z and hit a real small dip in the road and scraped. i'm gonna turn the u-bolts upside down and see if that was the clearance problem. it wasn't until i finished the complete exhaust i noticed how low the y-pipe is to the ground.

any suggestions or do i just deal with it? as far as i know the car hasn't been lowered by the previous owner, all stock ride heights.

I haven't had any problems with the Pacesetter LTs or the off-road y-pipe. As a matter of fact, I just finished installing a Spohn crossmember mounted torque arm which sits an inch closer to the ground then the y-pipe does and I have yet to scrape anything. As for your u-clamps, I would either trim the bolts down or move clamp 180 degrees so the bolts are facing straight up.

Turning the straight up was kind of awkward for me, so i turned them 90* and have them facing towards the driveshaft. It really helped my clearance issues.

Go with the stainless band clamps. They take up almost no room at all and won't rust or crimp your pipes. I had to use 2 of the U style clamps and then used the band clamps everywhere else. You can rotate them easily so they don't hang below the pipes. Is your car lowered?
