Pacesetter lt headers

I just got my headers in today. I orders the race version 1 3/4 long tubes and they look good but the exhaust ports on my elliott trick flows are about .300 wider and .150 taller than the headers at the flange. Look like they started with 1 5/8 for about an inch then stepped it up to 1 3/4. Whats up with that?

Re: Pacesetter lt headers

I had a similar problem with my AFR heads. I just ported the headers and sealed them with Copper RTV since no gasket sealing place was left

We are talking about port alignment from the header to the head.

Re: Pacesetter lt headers

so what your saying is that your ported heads have bigger ports than the openings on the flange side of each primary tube?

Wierd.

My headers definatly had bigger ports than my stock heads ... It makes the heads work kind of like an anti-reversion deal ...
