pacesetter longtubes HELP!

hey guys. i tried putting these pacesetter longtubes on. is there maybe an install guide somewhere. these things are making me mad enough to throw them lol. on the passenger side, i removed the starter and pushed the header down. i get it to where the collector is on the heat shield and the header is rubbing TERRIBLY against the housing of the transmission. i tried dropping the transmission and had someone put some pressure on the tail shaft to move the trans over, but nothing seems to work. any ideas? as for the drivers side, i tried to get that up through the bottom of the car. The rear of the header (part which connects to the head) is rubbing against the floor. i've removed the oil filter for a little more clearance and the car is on jack stands plus wood blocks for more height. i dont know how else to get these in and these poor headers are really taking a beating. thanks for any info guys.

You're going to have to take the bolt out of the motor mount on either side, and jack the motor up.

To elaborate, undo the motormount on one side and jack up the motor by placing a block of wood under the oil pan. The header will drop right in. Reinstall the mount. Repeat for the other side. This is actually much easier than it sounds.

You shouldn't need to take out the motor mount bolt. The driver side should drop in from the top (with the steering linkage removed) and the passenger side should slide up from the bottom (with the starter removed). The higher you have the vehicle, the easier it will be.

Put them in from the bottom! You're wasting time trying to fit them in from the top. You need to jack your car up higher then you've ever jacked it up before. I had my front end scary high... like 4 feet off the ground. Then I took the right side header and tilted it nearly vertical, and with a rubber mallet I pounded it up into place. It might take a couple hard wacks but it will work its way up into place. It should not take you more then 5 mins of jiggling and pounding to work its way into place. The key is getting your car high enough off the ground otherwise you'll probably end up having to unbolt a motor mount or do one of the other tricks a lot of guys here talk about. Make sure you have a friend around to grab onto the header flange once its up into place. Otherwise you risk the header falling back down while you lower the car. I did both sides from the bottom. I really don't see why anyone would go in from the top. It looks more difficult to me...

I'm only reciting his personal experience, suprisingly not all header swaps are the same even with the same brand headers from what I've seen.
