pacesetter coating

Im basically just looking for some feedback on the quality of pacesetter's coating. Im debating picking up a set of LTs at the moment, and i need to decide where I want to get my coating. coated pacesetters only cost $100 more than uncoated pacesetters. Im asking because I have two local sources for coating, but dont have a quote yet from either (my time to act is limited) One place i would estimate $200 and I have heard that their coating is better than Jet-hot's. The other is a personal connection at a commercial company that can do it - however they dont normally do headers, and would only do it because I know someone. I would estimate $80-100 there. Opinions and experiences about pacesetter coating would be helpful in making my decision here.

Re: pacesetter coating

Well the place around here has a 5 year warranty on their coatings. They look better and have better corrosion resistance. For coating longtube headers it would be about $180. I currently have uncoated pacesetter headers and i am going to get the coated in early dec. So its really up to you. How much you want to spend, how you want them to look and how much corrosion resistance you want.

Re: pacesetter coating

ive had my pacesetter longtubes on for about a year now and nothing wrong w/ the coating.....my friend had his on for about 2 1/2 or 3 years and coating is fine.....rumor has it, that pacesetter uses jet hot for their coating. if i were you i would just get the pacesetters w/ the coating that already comes on.
