Pace Setter coating

Is the ceramic coating worth the extra money? And does it hold up or just get discolored/tarnished? I don't mind spending the extra if it holds up. If not I'll get the painted and some heat wrap.

ceramic coating does not come off... thats one of its major points. paint will come off. anyway...

ceramic is definitely worth the extra money. your headers will last forever instead of 2 or 3 years and it keeps the exhaust gasses hotter which is a good thing.

Re: Pace Setter coating

I've never had ceramic coating come off because of a break in period. I have never heard of that. Ceramic Coating WILL come off in extreme weather and road conditions, just like mine has from Ohio road salt. I'd recommend Ceramic coating to keep engine temps down, header wrap I dont believe is recommended by many people including a few header companies. I'd say spend a bit more for it if you can.

Interally it came off? I'd send it back if it came off cause it got hot. Make sure you check though before you send it back. It shouldnt do that. But I think it wouldnt smoke it would shoot out flakes.

Re: Pace Setter coating

Alright, so I'll do the ceramic. Then I have to get some O2 extensions. I'm gonna try the off road Ypipe into single cat. A guy posted he passed(No visual) with that setup. I'm gonna have to go through emissions someday. Thanks guys for the help.

I'm not familiar with quick coat or if its Ceramic or not, but Jethot usually covers their stuff pretty good. If it fell off, I'd call or PM them.

pacesetter provides you with the wires to make your own extensions.

Re: Pace Setter coating

Funny o2 extensions got brought up because I just realized redline performance didn't send my ****ing 50 dollar extensions I bought off of them with the headers . Already emailed, so we'll see how they resolve this one. All I have is the extra wire with butt connectors that Pacesetter sends with the headers standard.

Re: Pace Setter coating

Do you have to use the O2 extensions or is that just emmisions stuff? If you don't hook the O2 sensors up will your car run ok?
