Overheating! Please Help!!

Ok, so the car just randomly started overheating tonight and the low coolant light came on. I check the coolant level and it is like half empty..... So i fill it up and the temp comes down some but it still sits quite a bit over 210(half)... I tried to bleed the valve but when i opened it up nothing came out... I mean NOTHING. No AIR, No COOLANT, no NOTHING.. Is this weird??? When I opened up the radiator cap there was plenty of pressure and coolant came spewing out, but right after, when i open the bleeder valve, NOTHING... WTF is going on???? I suspect the water pump but it has already been replaced like 30K ago... Maybe the WP?? Any imput appreciated. Thanks.

sounds to me like your radiator cap is no good and there isn't enough pressure in the system.

Yep, thanks guys. It is the radiator cap. Um, what kind do I get to replace it? Just a factory one?

Re: Overheating! Please Help!!

Nevermind..... Upon further examination during the daytime i can clearly see a crack in the radiator just under the cap.. I thought it was the cap because i heard a gurgling coming from that area... but it was the crack below it.... So now my question shifts to... What kind of radiator to replace with?? I dont want to go stock again, i would like to go with a nice aftermarket one... Any suggestions guys?? Thanks.

Niether... you should throw it out and get an intercooler.....

You'll need the Turbokit to go with it of course...
