Over Heating ????? HELPPPPPPPPPPP ME !!!

Hello ! I have a question for you out there ! I have a 97 z28. I just
had a issue to where mt temp went into the red within a matter of min's. I only drove it around the block when this started to happen. I had a problem that was simular to that and I had some parts replaced. The theromostat , the water pump, the radiator etc. The problem went away for over four months + I'm having these issues and I checked my coolent and there is plenty of water. After I turn the car off the over flow is boiling and is over flowing !!! HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!***** Oh yeah 1 more thing it is making this winding nosie really loud cant really describe it. All this just started with no signs .....

Did you properly bleed the system? Did you use a proper water/coolant percentages? Maybe a flush is in order, its is like $80 at most places that cycle fluid through the block and radiator.

does your car perform as good as usuall? when my cat was clogged it made that kind of noise from the pressure of the exhaust coming out of the egr... and it also overheated REALLY quickly

hmm, you dont have a supercharger under there, do you?

bleeding it is really easy. open the hood. youll find one screw on a heater hose and another coming off the top of the water pump on the housing unit for the thermostat (both found here: http://shbox.com/1/bleeders.jpg). might be a little hard to see. its kinda under the intake on the left side. open these screws up a bit (dont pull them out) and let the vehicle run for a few minutes until water gets flowing well out of the holes. close the screws up. system is bled. keep water on hand to fill up the system as needed (dont take the cap off the radiator when hot! fill up the overflow.) simple.

I'd be more concerned with the whining noise at this point. is your water pump ok? thermostat in backwards (if that's possible)...?

Re: Over Heating ????? HELPPPPPPPPPPP ME !!!

You might want to start narrowing down the search by answering all the questions above so that people can help you more...
-is the coolant mix 50/50?
-was it bled correctly?
-Correct theromostat?
-Correct (good) radiator cap?
-Fans working?

People are wanting to help here but without you answering and doing the legwork on some of these questions its hard to give any diagnosis and your going to end up replacing more parts and crossing your fingers each time.
