What it the temperature (in numbers) that you feel is "overheating"?

Have you checked the radiator cap to insure it holds 18psi?

Re: over heating

I usually leave the radiator cap off when I start to add coolant with it running. The problem is it starts to overflow and come out once it warms up. Have you tried starting it with cap on and seeing if that helps? Mine usually gets real high on the dash temp and goes down after a few seconds. After that its fine. Give a little more back ground on what happened. Did it over heat while driving and did you do anything recently to the car?
