My car has a bad sputtering/ surging problem. It surges at idle, and sputters till 2,000 RPM's also sputters around 4800-5200 RPMs also. 02's,plugs,wires,fuel filter,air filter have ALL been changed along with gutting the cat. Other than the problems stated the thing runs EXCELLENT Could this be my Opti, its been progressively getting worse i have disconnected the EGR vacuum supply and nothing happened..same old crap. I plan on purchasing an opti unless people suggest otherwise. Where is the best place to get one that has a good price? Thanks!

I had the exact same symptoms, did opti along with what you did besides and now I am running GREAT to 5300 on tach, not sure what actually is.

I would have a hard time getting going, once it do though through our powerband it ran good so I had no problem merging or whatever but I never went over 4500 because of the problem. Also was slow getting off the line, had to baby it with the clutch
